Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother, while Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox was accepted into the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 70s, where she studied the flute piano as well as the harpsichord for three consecutive years. Lennox lived on an allowance for students and went on part-time employment to augment her funds. In the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied in her ability in comparison to her fellow students and was contemplating a different path she might follow. Lennox was a flute player with a group called Dragons Playground in 1976. She left the band prior to the group's appearance to I.T.V.s talent show New Faces. The main part of her role was The singer for The Tourists from 1977 until 1980. It was here that she met Dave Stewart and together they formed the duo Eurythmics. Following that Lennox began working on her first solo album Diva which came out in 1992. It was an enormous achievement, both in terms of the sales as well as critically acclaimed. Nostalgia Lennoxs six solo album that was released in October 2014 is Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. Lennox picked her favorite blues and soul tracks. Lepidoptera features four keyboard tracks. The E.P. Her first album"Now I'm Letting You go... was released as an accompaniment to her installation of work in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art.
